Summary
We're looking for teen participants, aged 13-17, to take part in a study investigating how social media influences the way adolescents think and how their brain works. This study involves 1 visit to the Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC), where you will complete cognitive tasks during an MRI scan. This visit will last up to 2h, including instructions, the MRI scan and some questionnaires at the end of the visit. You will receive £20 for your participation. All teenagers 13-17 years old, using social media platforms (such as Instagram, TikTok, Youtube…), and without diagnosed developmental conditions, mental health conditions, special educational needs, or neurological disorders can take part in this study. If you or someone you know might be interested in taking part, you can get in touch at teens-and-screens@cardiff.ac.uk.
