Summary
We are looking for healthy adult participants (aged 18+) to take part in an MEG study. This study aims to determine how the human brain predicts and processes language in real time. As part of the study you will undergo a short interview, designed to produce speech samples in healthy individuals, followed by a scanning session in the MEG where you will complete three short tasks. Overall, the whole study should take around 1h 30 mins. You will receive £15 compensation for your help. If you are interested, please register your interest or email for further details! Additional Info
We are looking for healthy adult participants (aged 18+) to take part in an MEG study. This study aims to determine how the human brain predicts and processes language in real time. Everyday conversation relies heavily on prediction — our brains are constantly anticipating the next word before it is spoken. This predictive ability helps us follow speech quickly and smoothly. As part of the study you will undergo a short interview, designed to produce speech samples in healthy individuals, followed by a scanning session in the MEG where you will complete three short tasks. Overall, the whole study should take around 1h 30 mins. You will receive £15 compensation for your help.
To be eligible in this study you must have no history of any psychiatric or neurological condition, aged 18+, no metal in the body, no claustrophobia, normal or corrected-to-normal vision, normal hearing not dependent on hearing aids, and fluent in English.
